Im a very curious type.....i just insured my new (but used) to me Z4 here in Florida USA
as a 2nd car, my insurance for the Z4 ALONE is $1000 a year
i have a spotless driving record,..... that coverage is very good and zero deductible for stupidity like someone slashing tires, or keying the car etc etc.
cost about the same in the UK?

Ours is around the £300 mark with full NCD but there's quite a hefty £500 compulsory excess as well as a voluntary £150 excess.

That’s the deductible.
So for the type of car there’s a mandatory excess/deductible, plus you can offer to increase this excess/deductible voluntarily to reduce your premium.

That seems expensive OP compared to here - I just paid £353 for my 3.0 litre Coupe, but sadly there is a £350 deductible.

... I’ve now ended up with 4 cars, 3 of which can only be driven by me & the misses.
With the Zed on a 6k max miles policy, the likelihood of only 2 being driven at the same time & I’m an old fe££er has had a lot to do with it.
It would be even lower had some muppet not dragged their snail (caravan) along the side of my stationary TT a few years back & the rozzers not placed a mobile speed camera just behind the 70mph limit facing into the 50 zone on the brow of the hill in 2015...

You might be Ian, but as you probably know, a lot comes into the maths, postcodes, what other cars are in your household, how much hair you have, excess etc
