I use it on my iPad with a Wi-fi obd thingy, it’s self explanatory really & simple to navigate through

A strange question. None of the coding options are REALLY necessary, but it's about customising the car to your liking - no different to aftermarket wheels, replacing a whippy with a stubby (God's work), Halo headlights and so on....

You'll need a cable for android and the bluetooth adaptor for iOS.

I think it's all changed now anyway. It's now a subscription service, so you have to renew it every so often. Maybe worth taking a look here to see if you can find anybody local with the app? Then you can see whether it maybe a good investment for you.

Yeah it's a subscription if I remember rightly. I got it not long back. It's good fun swapping and changing bits. I'm sure there must be someone local to you?

Quick Carly question for a noob; does the option exist to code-in '3-flash indicator'? It's a function I really miss from my previous cars (my '04 645ci had it, was a little surprised when my '03 Z4 doesn't). It would appear a previous owner has used Carly in the past as my car has a lot of the coded options that have been mentioned on this thread.

On a pre-face lift? The first few posts on this thread suggest it was only possible on the LCI. I was wondering if anything had changed in the year since the thread started.

Cheers

It’s not possible with Carly. Not on the pre facelift. Maybe possible with other, more advanced programs like NCS.

Changes will probably concentrate on the newer models. Doubt any coding parameters will change on the e85 or e86 Zeds

Anyone know if it's possible to mess around with the service indication system using Carly?

My service indicator has been out of sync for ages - says it's due an Oil Service when it's due an Inspection, and vice-versa. I'd be interested in getting it sorted.

Car is an E86, so facelift.
