Thanks Marlon. I haven't been able to speak directly to the auto electrician today as I planned. Only managed to leave a message and so far he hasn't come back to me yet. I am not sure whether that is because he isn't keen to do the job or that he has just been very busy, could be either. I 'll give him a day or two before deciding what to do next. We live just south of Lincoln so it would be quite a journey across to your part of the world. However, if I can't find someone to do the job locally I might have to bite the bullet. Thank you for offering to speak to the garage for me if necessary. I'll let you know how I get on and whether I need you to speak to the garage. Thank you again for your help. By the way lovely photographs.

Seats all working. Have posted a thank you to Mr PT, Fishy Dave and yourself. Thanks for all your help. Without it I would never have got the job completed.

Cheers Marlon

Great news Ian, it was one of the trickiest most expensive mods I've done and like you I couldn't have done it without the help of the forum - namely Fishy Dave and Mr PT.
Well done

Bought a long overdue piece of kit :) my old scissor jack was leaning like the tower of Pisa last time I swapped my wheels

One of the problems with this site is that the members are constantly buying extra equipment that you then feel you can’t do without. Very bad for the bank balance. Looks like a very useful bit of kit.

Used my trolley jack today - halved the time to swap to the winter style 32s :)

Rear brake pads were on an advisory for the MOT back in June so decided to get some quotes, however Jamie got me a great deal on a set of Bosch ones and fitted them too - top bloke

Lol - You let Jamie drive :!: :!:

He won't know himself, in a car with suspension :driving: :driving:

Also, those pads aren't that low, rears are nowhere near as thick as fronts to start with, the min rec thickness on them is 3mm..

Piss arf!

They look worse in person than they are I'd imagine there was no more than 2mm on them and the pad material was disintegrating

Your welcome Colin any time

swapping them out early with Jamie has saved me money - would have been off to the Indy's when they wore right down and parting with £££, so I'm happy :)
