MOT for me . First one in my ownership and 18 months since the last one done by the previous owners garage. Which seemed a little 'shady' as a month after I bought it , had a broken rear spring and all discs were worn to the limit, yet had no advisories. After a few bits of work by me, was given a clean sheet and remarked on being as clean underneath as much as above. Spent time poking round brake pipes at the rear which are as new and no corrosion, rear arm bushes which were spot on and exhaust manifold to system bolts which were a little tired but no real rush to do. So celebrated with a drive out with the missus, which proved a pain as the M4 was closed around us and all the roads were chocker of people having no idea where they were going and crashing
Picture of the MOT and no, thats not air suspension on the front, he was checking wishbones, bushes, shocks and springs etc.

Cleaned my car mats using a mini carpet cleaner. You can see how much dirt there was in the background. Aiming to do the car carpets soon.

Rebuilt calipers from an E46 330, fitted with carriers, mtec discs, grooved and drilled, mintex pads, new fluid.

Looks the part, all painted gloss black. Let's see if it stops ok.

Now looking for other things i can spend money on
Considering bilsteins b4s.

Got rid of the RFT's at last - what a difference it's made. No more tramlining and ride much better. Nothing expensive. Avon Z5 on front last week (225/45/17 standard) and Yokohama Advans on back yesterday (245/40/17)

Nothing as radical as some of you guys :o

Installed a bluetooth FM modulator so I could use an Android tablet as Sat nav and music source for longer drives

I wanted a solution that did not involve cutting into or removing any of the original car. All thought I will run a secondary power socket for the modulator in a hidden location at some point so the ash tray lid doesn't have to remain open.
