Fitted new rear shocks, top mounts, reinforcing plates, bump stops, drop links and ARB bushes.
Now just waiting for her to get home so we can take it on a test drive.
Big thank you to Stuart (Bigwinn) for all the advice and tips. Having sheared one of the ARB bush bracket bolts I'm glad I had spares to hand as he suggested.
Did a straight swap, nothing fancy. All the old stuff still had the 2003 date on it, so after 102k it was due a revamp.
Have a feeling the front end is next on the list now!

Finally driven her! Been off the road since January after buying a sensible daily. Fixed roof hoses and fitted some new (to me) style 68's with plenty of sidewall. Couldn't be happier!

Replaced the bonnet badge. Had to drill it out as the pelicans that resprayed the bumper glued it in place. Nice new one in place with captive nuts

The handbrake is a very useful feature on the car. It stops you rolling down a hill. It just does its job without any drama.
Except mine wasn't.
It had become pretty much unusable.
So, time to break out the brake tools.
OMG.
There must be a special place reserved in Hell for the engineer who designed the mechanical handbrake system on the Z4.
Or, I'm really cack-handed and should just get a pro to do these jobs.
You definitely are at an advantage if you have at least six hands and the strength of an Olympic weight-lifter to stretch the springs enough to fit them. How can springs that size be so strong?!
Anyway, it's done. Not before time too. As far as I can see, it was the original pads in there from 2007. They were destroyed.
I'm off to find a very steep hill where I can park. With a satisfied expression on my face.

What badge did you use and did you get new captive nuts? I installed a new one and the other day on my first spirited drive I watched it fly off over my head!

Wife's ruby black last of the line 2009 has been tidied up for the summer, full paint correction and diamond coating

, powder coated MV2s with a fresh set of Michelin SP4s, and managed to get a used leather OEM wind deflector (Part Number B54.70.0.150.671) which makes a big difference to buffeting and noise.

Champagne with Gloss black trim

Got a new snow foam machine so it can be touchless cleaned - been daily used for the last 7 years and kept outside so will see how well it stands up.

Out with warped old carpets.

In with new BMW ones.

Also fixed the parking sensors using the tick test and some wd40. Saved me the cost and bother of a replacement. Fault finally cleared, on to pressure sensor 1 next!
