What have you done to your car today?

Another day another roof motor moved- still find it bonkers that at some point someone has paid good money to fix this issue, then put the motor back in the place that caused the issue in the first place?!?!?

Fitted an aftermarket radio, way easier than I was expecting having done it in a e87 previously.

Then retrofitted the drivers cupholder, after I ordered the correct one this time

Fitted new weather strips to the bottom of each door, put new fixing clips onto the Aero's as they're only 1 time use and the ones from when we did the swap were originals. Also bought another lock clip for the battery cover in the boot, I got 3 as they were missing then another went missing xD Went to BMW to pick up new BMW emblems for the indicators and boot.

Also took my Supra to Pro-Tyre to get one of my tyres plugged as I'm sure some asshat screwed a large torque screw into it. If it wasn't such a large headed one it could have been a lot worse >:( They plugged it though, saves new Pilot Super Sports being needed on the front.

Had the brake fluid changed and an MOT at the Dealers - I got discount on both and a good result on the MOT as well.

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Same make lines as I used  Wheels looking good and would like to see more of the Laverda
There you go, it's was my lock-down project. A rare 1971 750 sf cross-over model in factory spec' with the earlier 'camel back' tank and anti-social pipes, plus the sf upgrades including Ceriani suspension and monstrous magnesium race-spec drums.... great care is required in the wet!
It had one owner for 45 years before being restored and toured on by the owner's club chairman, then I bought it and have been fettling/detailing it between rides. I think There may be 5 or 6 on the road in the UK. I cannot believe how few people, including 'bikers' don't know what a Laverda is (was), particularly since the 750 cleaned up in endurance racing for several years and the Jota was the fastest production bike in the world for some time. They were fairly rare TBF, expensive and exotic at the time.Somerset moors Jul21c1.jpg
Lovely bike, and rare as you say. I remember my brother, who was big into bikes when I was a teen, used to call these a “Jumping” Jota. Is the nickname deserved?

Today I fitted Bluetooth adapter for music, which shredded my hand as I did it from the front rather than take out the rear trim.
Didn’t take any pictures of that.

I also fit a Maxton spoiler, nice and low profile exactly what I wanted.
Duck tails and deep dishes, yum.

Changed the front shocks and top mounts on the 2.2i. Took me all day, but well worth it as I had a little helper. 7-y-o lad from across the road. Kept him busy doing up all the nuts and bolts but he couldn't budge the knuckle bolts.
I am sitting here now feeling I've achieved more than just fettling the car.
