Thanks! I was worried about how it would look when I finally got it out. This was one of those jobs that was on the list but just too lazy until the other day my RHS drain clogged for the first time after... some over-enthusiasm with the power washer. My wife came home and asked me why there was a small slow dripping puddle near my rear right....

Stuck a coat hanging down the area and WOOOOOSH. Tonnes of water flushed out.

Figured that was a sign I should probably sort out the relocate :P
Have you removed the bungs from the end of the drain tubes? Only takes five minutes and reduces the risk of them getting clogged up.

It does, but it also means more tyre roar comes into the cabin, especially on the motorway. It's not terrible, but I'd recommend a before/after test.

Hi, this only improves the tail end of the drainage system, the problem is often at the top end where leaves/dead cats etc end up covering the drain entry point :(

I found these bungs while I was vinyl wrapping earlier in the year when my side skirts were off. Didn't think to remove them. Not concerned anymore tho because the motor is sat safely in my boot :P

Need to grab some interior carpet to cover it up.

Replaced the expansion tank that had split, those clips/hoses at the bottom are a real PITA!
Replaced the passenger headlight unit with a good secondhand one, my car had been in a shunt at some point (previous owner) and they put a black one in instead of silver.

Not quite done anything to it, but the set of 224's I bought arrived today, also a zhp gear knob and a couple of sets of poly bushes. Hopefully get time to remove the gm5 to send away for repair this week too.

I've started to buy to bits I'll need in the spring to do the valve clearance check and replacement of the necessary shims in my S54. Today I got the camshaft cover rubber gasket. Next, the 32mm 1/2" socket, set of gauges and magnetic tool to remove and refit the shims. :driving:

Thought I'd check my Z4 over before it's MOT next week. Lucky I did as I found this:

Ordered a new part from BMW on ebay for £18. Shouldn't be too difficult to fit.
