You're really meant to leave new paint for a month or so before you put any wax or sealant coat on, the paint has to naturally 'gas out' over time, if you seal it the gas can get trapped and cause pinholes in the surface.

This morning fitted a nearside front brake caliper in the howling wind and snow.......just about defrosted now, although needed a single malt or two to help!

Went outside to try these 15mm spacers, but after the 2nd bolt the cold beat me, so now they are just sitting there mocking me.

Wouldn’t be able to stand the ‘mocking’ ... I’d get out there and admire the big difference 15mm makes!!

That was my original thought, but it only seems to do it with the hardtop fitted. I haven't noticed it being wet when the soft top is up, so not sure what's going on.

The foam is bone dry further up. It was only wet at the bottom.
Didn't realise your using a hardtop. Not sure how much the roof drains come into play as I don't have one.
If the foams only wet wet low down I would be thinking the black vent in the corner under the bumper or the previously mention light issue
Checked that vent today after more heavy rainfall left me with another small lake in my boot

The vent on the side with the water (off side)was seated really high and it was wet at the bottom of it. I checked the vent on the near side and that was seated much lower and it was bone dry. Pushed both vents right down and made sure they were seated correctly.

Now I just need some more heavy rainfall to see if it's worked. If so, happy days. If not, well i'm going to be really angry

Cheers for the suggestion
Hope its cured it Ben.
just spotted your new lights, looking good. Ive got the same with the symmetrical 4 spots. Now you got a set maybe you can source a driver side with the twin clears on the likes of ebay europe or us etc and then flog your drivers side to cover costs.

Have you thought about removing the french fries? I've removed them on mine and think it looks better. i was inspired after see this

That does look rather good 8) might have a go tomorrow, if the snow clears!

I actually have a set of facelift rear lights and facelift rear bumper ready to go on, but I keep putting it off because of the re-wiring needed.

The new clear spot rear's where an ebay bargain, and as mine were faded, I thought it would be rude not to fit them for the time being   I hadn't thought of getting a euro one for the drivers side. Off to have a look for one now.

Really?...didn't think wax could cause that?

It might not, but for the sake of a few weeks it's best to wait. Read up if you wish, its a process called 'off gassing' and all 2 pack paints need time to do it, assuming it was done at a body shop or similar it will be a 2 pack paint (just means there's a separate hardener mixed into it).

I know some ceramic coatings are supposed to be breathable, but again your paint isn't going to pick up any real dirt in 4 weeks, just give it a clay and polish before protecting.

I opened the garage, gave her a pat on her gorgeous bum. Then closed it again. Too much salt about again. :)

Been out this weekend on a set of style 326s with mixed rubber on the E86  yep really :driving:  255 30 19 rear non runflats / 225 35 19 front runflats  now covered around 7omiles on this set up both backroad , town roads & motorway .
Can say it handles pin sharp , zero tramline or quiver on this set up ( factory springs 121k covered) & id wager 99% of forum members wouldn't be able to tell the rubber was mixed if they weren't aware beforehand .
The only time i felt the difference was crossing cats eyes on Mway , felt them right up through the steering wheel which on my other set of wheels running 235 35 19 Michelin PS2s its far less noticeable .
