What have you done to your car today?
After months of procrastinating, with the ever-present excuse of the weather, I finally decided to fit an OEM wind deflector set to my son's zed (he's been jealous of the one on my zed since I got the car).
So it wasn't a case of just fitting the brackets for the central panel, but also fitting the side panels that sit within the roll hoops. To be honest, I had splashed out on a set of cheap hoop covers off ebay as I was sure I was going to make a hash taking them off. But in the end, by being firm yet careful - and lucky - and using plastic tools, I managed to only snap one clip on each side of the car! REEESULT!
The covers were therefore much better than the ones I had bought, though I'm still grateful for them as they made a great template for the necessary holes and indents.
Only fly in the ointment is I didn't have four 4x20 torx bolts to fit the brackets to the hoops
Apart from that gotta say I felt pretty good the way the job went. Hopefully I can get some bolts off ebay - it'll be a while before I can get them locally. Not that the car's going to get driven much...

Crazy how a sports car feel completely different after adjusting the sound to your taste!

Congratulations on being one of the only people in the world able to drive to your heart's content. No Covid-19 in Quebec, then? Lucky.

Not today but over the last week I've fitted a Bilstein/Eibach B12 kit to our E89 20i. I've also swapping out the 19" 326's wheels with Bridgestone runflat tyres 225/35 255/30 that it came with, for my 18" ZITO 935's with Goodyear F1 225/45 255/40 off my E85.
Finally had the opportunity to try it on the road going to Tesco's and back, a trip of about 10 miles (with a couple of them motorway miles) and I have to say what a transformation! I'm really starting to quite like this car Which I have to admit is something I didn't think was going to happen as it was bought as 2nd car for the wife.

Went to the fridge in the garage. Noticed the Zed really could do with a clean but don’t have the enthusiasm for that today. Took stuff from the fridge and went back inside.
The car is now 13 months old and has done 1147 miles. This is not what i had planned for it. Once lockdown and Corona is all done and dusted, this must change.

Looks good. Don't forget to post a pic once fitted. Are you doing the other trim pieces the same?Silverzedtom wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:20 pm 648A8313-ECE4-458C-849A-A190983E13DA.jpeg

Yeah I’ve done the headlight switch trim and thats fitted (pics a few pages back) I also need to do the trans tunnel piece, I was going to wait until the end of the summer for that but with lockdown etc I may do that sooner! I’m planning to wrap a fair few more bits in the car but it’s a bit more time consuming than I’d anticipated so may take me a while.

What have you done to your car today?
I haven't done an update in a while so I thought I'd make a post. In the past few months, I have wrapped the interior blue, some may have seen my post about the installation of my LED footwell lights and fitted a new not bent front bumper so hopefully my undertray will stop falling off now! Also got my new number plates in the post today as well as the new coilovers, fitted the number plates but think coilovers will be for the weekend as well as a well needed clean! for the time being heres some pics!

Had my first long distance drive. Had to get to Aberdeen from Sunderland for work, no flights and was I hell spending 5 hours on a train.
What a machine! Didn’t miss a beat.

I went out and hoovered the interior!
Was sorely tempted to sit in it and make engine noises like I did in my Dad's car as a kid.
Maybe I need to apply for a job in a food shop or pharmacy so I can actually use it.

I've just had my silver MV2 alloys changed to black gloss. Just waiting for new front black bolts to arrive. Already got black chrome bolts on the back as they came with the 20mm Black spacer I put on. I've ordered a black gloss grill and waiting for that. But loving the look already.

Welcome to the forum Obicoke.
At the risk of putting temptation in your way have you seen a photo of a red Coupe with a gloss Black roof wrap?
You'll find that coming on here can get expensive.
