Fixed a broken drivers side window regulator with a repair kit. Fiddly job.
Fitting the cable isn't the tricky bit; carefully cutting away the vapour barrier and generally working in the tight space within the door is fiddly. At least it's sorted

Also swapped onto winter tyres. Looks like the set I bought second hand are a little big. Getting a smaller tyre fitted to the fronts on Monday so I don't rub a hole in the arch liner!

Fitted the i6 DISA kit. The intake was clean as a whistle but the pin was hanging out when I removed the DISA 😬 that’s at 62k and 16yrs
Very quick and easy and one less thing to worry about.

Calipers cleaned and painted a "graphite" shade. Pad retaining clip might look better silver?

Replaced yellow capped registration screw cover. A small job that has needed doing for a little while.

So cleaned, perfect color :)
Do you have used a "special paint kit" ? Or just a classic spray ? :D

Took the car for a spin. New diff ratio of 3.46 from 3.0i auto (old ratio 3.07).

1st gear still more than usable, 2nd easier to set off in without slipping clutch, 6th less like an overdrive but still high enough for the motorway.

Most of all it's transformed the car from 3rd to 5th. Really pleased with it. Thanks to all who did the write ups. Cheers mark

You have achieved an excellent result 👍🏻
If anyone else is looking to repair their seats due to collapsed foam please PM me. I'm able to source a variety of foams as I work for a commercial furniture manufacturer.
