Couldn't resist an opportunity to give the engine bay a good scrubbing. All credit goes to my dad for doing that.wonkydonkey wrote: ↑Sat Jun 16, 2018 6:44 pm Iggy looks like you got your feather duster out at the same time

Sorted I drive display wheels off ready for polishing tomorrow. I have sorted my double garage so even if it rains the “M” gets a polishing. Tunes on and some quality time with the M

Her car got the love today. The brakes have been bugging me since we bought her A200, so made a start on painting them.
Here's a before pic it looks like the previous owner enjoyed using the eastern European car washes, which appear to have ruined the coating on the calipers.
And I forgot to take a finished photo without the wheel on, so this will have to do. They Certainly look a lot more presentable now.

Fitted the Isofix bracket to the passenger seat so that I could finally take my son out in the Zed. He really enjoyed our little outing this afternoon and so did I. A nice little Father’s Day treat!

Cheers I used Hammerite Smooth Silver. I painted my Z4's calipers with it years ago and the finish still looks like new, so decided to buy another tin to do her's.
It is great stuff. I've used caliper paint in the past, made by Foliatec I think, and the brake dust burnt onto the coating and made for a terrible look after just a few months.
The hammerite literally wipes clean

+1 Hammerite Smooth Black Gloss for me. Been using it for years. Never flakes or rusts. Keeps its gloss for ages.ben g wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 7:32 pmCheers I used Hammerite Smooth Silver. Soundproofed the boot floor
Vinyl wrapped a centre console trim piece
Made and glued on a microswitch striker for my parcel shelf
Found my missing parcel shelf retaining clips in the battery compartment (!)
Somehow deactivated my parking sensors
Man I love having a project to work on again!

You’ve got me wondering if my missing parcel shelf clips are in the same place? Going to have a peek in there tomorrow.wonkydonkey wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:54 pm Found my missing parcel shelf retaining clips in the battery compartment (!)

Hah! You never know! The previous owner had wrapped them up in the tool wrap for some unknown reason. I was chuffed!ErrErrminator wrote: ↑Sun Jun 17, 2018 10:03 pmYou’ve got me wondering if my missing parcel shelf clips are in the same place? Gave my wife's Z an Engine and Gearbox oil change, that completes it's Inspection service. Didn't do the diff as I'm not sure it it's an LSD or not. The casing does not look like other pictures I've seen on YouTube and it has cooling fins on the rear casing at the bottom... And have arranged to get the rear brake pipes replaced as they are looking very rusty!

Just finished packing the roadster for a week in New quay Wales. 2x small suitcases, a nag full.of food essentials and other bits. Who says the boots are small. And I can still get the roof down. Was a toss up between hoping for sun or taking the Coupe!! I hope we have dry weather
