I'd say you got your money's worth out of both tires and clutch then.ben g wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 8:59 pm Checked the tyres... Fronts are showing cords in the insides. Yep, they're being changed tomorrow
Also vacuumed the interior as it was absolutely Filthy.
Currently trying to nurse the clutch through to next month when I can finally get the clutch and flywheel replaced. The noises being made are awful I assume its the flywheel making wheezing noises, as when I put it in neutral whilst driving, it doesn't make a sound.
And yes, it's slipping rather badly

Tuesday, done the front discs, front and rear pads also fitted 20mm rear spacers and 15mm front. New tyres.
The discs took a lot of effort to remove, were really rusty felt as if they were welded on.
Looks really good with the spacers, now just waiting for the roll bar links and spark plugs.
Will post pics of how it looks with spacers.
Rgds
P.s Washed, clay bar, waxed, sealed and polished. Also took out some swirl marks. Mcguires Ultimate wax used, Halfords polish must be one of the best I have used so far. Got good reviews on many "Which" sites. Really easy to apply and take off, buffs to an excellent finish.

I polished the headlight; rain stopped play so I only managed to do the passenger side, still came up a treat compared to what it was originally like!

Replaced the sensor inside the AUC sensor located on top of radiator cowl, it sniffs the air for polloutants and closes the fresh air intake flaps to stop fumes entering the interior of the cabin. Had a fault code come up for this, tiny sensor inside the plastic housing is replacable, it is a tight push fit. See how to post viewtopic.php?f=34&t=119411
Also fitted a couple of DRL's to the lower grill to make the car easier to see, its silver and blends in to the road surface making it easy for other drivers to miss seeing you. Ran a ignition controlled feed from the fuse box to power the lamps. Will be fitting an auto switch to switch them off or dim them when side or headlights are powered up. Already have them on the Z3 so thought it wise to fit them to the Z4. Cheap Chinese led types which so far have lasted well on the Z3, having said that I have just spotted one led has gone out on one of the units on the Z3.

Exciting wing mirror day! Replaced a cracked cap on the golf and split glass on the ///M.

Replaced the battery as it failed. Turned out it was original to the car, 15 years old!

That is pretty good going. I think mine is original too (2008) and it makes me nervous.

it's making jingling noises. Almost like something rattling around in there. I can't get it changed until I can get access to my other half's car next month

I hadn’t used my Z for a month, so started her up, checked the tyre pressures and took her for a short blast ready for a 180 mile round trip to a run event Sunday morning. Sunday morning came... rain... 1/2 mile down the road and the wipers failed
Back home and jumped into the M135 but really wanted to take the Z
