Finally started my car after maybe 6 months...cleaned all the green off the roof and drove around getting the rust off the brakes. Still brings a huge smile to my face

Finally got around to drilling some holes in my cloudy foglights!

Then got carried away and got out the G-Techniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer and turned my grey mirror mounts black again - I hope they are right about "Permanent". :)

Carbon Leather dash and Piano black center console fitted. Only problem now is my newly dyed grey door cards no longer fit in so I'll be retrimming them in the same suede with silver stitching as the gear and handbrake gaiters. Also I'm still awaiting my new floor mats to add a touch of colour.

I don't have any great before and afters but, Once upon a time:

Tip for anyone who might have the same issue I had.
Slow seat belt retraction.
House hole polish all the way down the belt and the contact points.
It flies back now :D

Luckily my '03 E85 came pre-wired for heated seats! They work a treat

So nice when a tricky job turns out to be an easy one. I've had the heated seat button panel for a couple of months, finally got around to fitting it. Took 15 minutes!

I know this question has gone around before but I also have an 03 e85 with electric seats. Can I assume my seats are prewired to be heated. Is there anything in particular I can look for to know if they are?

E85 heated seats - Pre-wired?

If you look at the wires in my hand on the photo above and your E85 matches them you should be ok. I think from memory you'll need the red & purple looking wire plus the yellow & green wire. A second hand panel switch from ebay (£50) shouldn't be to hard to find.

Once fitted the three little heated seat lights should light up once the button is pushed, if they flash - not pre-wired.

In all honesty I fitted the switch panel and hoped for the best. How lucky I was.

Have a search on the Web. Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Kev.

P.S Link for a switch panel

I'll save you trawling the forum/net. If your car was built pre October 2004 it should be pre wired for heated seats and also cruise control. So in terms of ease this is one of the easiest upgrades you can do on early zeds.
