What badge did you use and did you get new captive nuts? I installed a new one and the other day on my first spirited drive I watched it fly off over my head!
I'd also like to know. Mine is looking dated.
I've seen some on ebay, but they don't look very high quality.
Anyone knows how much they cost from bmw?

Cleared a brake pressure sensor/dsc fault with some contact cleaner.

Couldn't prise off the main loom so just sprayed everything electrical from the outside.

Top down and a quick cruise to confirm everything was ok. Always surprising how brisk these cars can be! :driving:

Was looking at a TVR earlier but not sure I want to go any quicker...

Fixed the window wiper parking issue where they jump up and fitted aerotwin wipers.

Replaced the faulty washer fluid motor with a new one.

Unplugged the faulty bonnet sensor that was causing the car alarm to trigger randomly

Last weekend I replaced the windscreen rubber surround, as the previous one had managed to work free on the passenger side.

Not the most difficult job in the world, but I did my best to make it as difficult as possible, choosing to do it at the hottest part of the day with no shade, so the rubber was too hot to touch

And then my car rewarded me with a cracked windscreen right in the drivers' line of sight, so looks like the windscreen needs replacing AND the 1 week old OW BMW rubber seal

You couldn't make it up...

Where did you get your new ones from? Or did you just buy the drivers side. My passenger mat looks brand new, just drivers side looking shabby.

I bought the set from Prentice via eBay. My passenger side was also fine but it’s nice to have a matching set.

I also unplugged the headlamp washer pump. Had a habit of spraying orange (!) screen wash fluid all over the bonnet and wings, staining the clearcoat. Even cleaning out the reservoir tank and filter didn’t seem to fix the fluid discolouring issue. To remove it I had to use concentrated washer fluid (acting as a solvent). Took hours. :headbang:

Poor design.

Technically from yesterday, but I retrofitted mine with the hard top prep kit/mounts (since my new hard top has just been sitting there for a while, but had to wait for the mounts to come from Germany) and finally got the hard top on! It’s a much quieter ride, and the chassis definitely feels a bit more stiff/stable. Going to enjoy this for track days.

Enjoying experimenting with the wrapping knowing I can just pull it off when I like!
How was wrapping the wing mirror ? I'm toying with the idea of doing mine. Did you do it in situ or take it off ? Did you use one piece of wrap or several ?
Just an update, if I was doing it all again I would aim to use one large piece of wrap. I’m happy enough with my results as a little project but it isn’t perfect on close inspection. For at home wrapping I would also suggest doing it outside on a sunny day, no need for the hairdryer!

Hello, sorry I haven't replied earlier. Z4 bonnet emblems don't seem to have an OEM equivalent, so I was keen to avoid your scenario. I bought both items seperately from Prenticeportadown on ebay. I don't know why they call them captive nuts, they are self tapping to me?
