What have you done to your car today?
Car is currently trapped in the garage for the foreseeable future due to a collision between my wife's car, (driven by me) and the garage door; door 0, car 1. Looking like about 4 weeks until she gets back on the road .... So the engine was due for a good clean so that was done today as well as fitting of the new indoors car cover, courtesy of a friend down the road that works for a dealership in town - looking good!!

I didn’t actually do it today, but was able to verify that it worked today.....
Budget auto-dim rear view mirror
2nd hand 1 series mirror 7118331 for £19.99 compared to the much more expensive ones for e85/86
Do the normal procedure to take off the mirror
Split both mirrors in half
Remove the card which illuminates the clown-nose alarm - this is the remote sensor which works on a different frequency - 433 vs 866 MHz
Swap the e85/86 sensor into the 1 series mirror
Put back together and plug into the car
Enjoy not being dazzled by cars behind you
Terrible quality pics, but at least you can see the difference from when I covered the sensor on the rear

Fitted new rear coils, picked up some new trim clips from the local dealer and fitted them, removed the passenger seat and cleaned underneath (drivers seat was removed recently when I was removing the EPS module so had to even it up). Ordered some new alloy wheel centre caps. Productive day!
