Got a new private plate for the car. The badge on the plate is actually Black and Silver, not the pink it looks like!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Doddsy, where did you get the replacement tail light? My RHS rear is on the way out too!

For the second time in as many months, someone decided to change lanes without looking and drove into the side of me, only this time from the drivers' side. Luckily no major damage, in fact hardly any scratches! The first incident a few months ago required me replacing a rear wing; this one just needs a small ding popped out of the front wing. Wheels took a battering but I had just bought a set of 107s yesterday which will be going on soon; need to t-cut some of the worst rubber marks on the wing but it'll come up fine. Got very, very lucky; even the wing mirror survived without any damage which is impressive given it was first point of contact. At least the guy was really apologetic; but no harm done.

The “side swipe” is the reason I drive a Z4 and not the intended caterham or Westfield!

Drove across the Moors, in glorious sun shine. Then cleaned of the wheels and put her back to bed. :D

Replaced the dipped beam bulbs with night breakers, replaced the fog light bulbs with LED bulbs and adjusted the headlights up a bit. Just took it out for a test drive in the dark and now I can see where I'm going :D

Went out for a very nice couple of hour jaunt around West Somerset with my son. What a cracking afternoon for some top down driving. :D

...And then I made a start on splitting my original set of 108s.

I had assumed that these were in original condition as they aren’t the worst diamond lipped 108s I’ve seen, however it turns out they were refurbished by Lepsons in April 2015, so they had only been on the road for 2.5 years since they were done :o.

Proves that an expensive refurb is no guarantee of a long lasting finish, not even on the centres!

Thankfully a carefully positioned heat gun helped all of the bolts to come out with any drama. These will be going to City Wheels later this week when I pick up my refurbished 224s.

I fitted a fruity car cables iPhone cable last week, it doesn’t work and I emailed Rory a few times over the last week and no response :x . I had no problems with the one I fitted to my old E46 Coupe a few years ago. Oh well time look for a different cable.
Cheers Kev.
