What does this do?

It's supposed to provide the engine with air more effectively than the standard intake. The result is a throatier, deeper growl from the engine bay and maybe a few more horses as well, though that's up for debate. It might be placebo, but I feel like it pulls a little better than before, especially higher in the rev range.

Snapped the locking nut adaptor in the nut while halfway through a wheel swap. Fuming! Off to the local tyre shop first thing to get it removed...

Fixed my headlamp washers, kindly disabled by my mechanic last year after the pipe blew off one of the washer nozzles after not being refined correctly by the bodyshop.

Then washed it and took it for the MOT - all done and no advisories. Just 3500 miles since last year so must get out more...

Put the car in my garage for the first time in 2 months

Been having some building work done on the homestead, 3 weeks after they finished, just managed to clear all the man stuff left over from loosing my shed as a result so she has been left out on the drive

Looking forward to giving her a lot of TLC over the next few days.

Today i have added Xado Amc tuning with RF33.3 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/XADO-1-Stage-T ... m570.l1313) we will check results after 1500 KMs im usually red lining my engine so i'd rather take care of it, trying the power steering conditioner (https://www.ebay.com/itm/XADO-EX120-Add ... m570.l1313) to fix sticky steering before touching anything, will post results after 1 week.
also used very lube to condition both belts and noticed immediate results (guess about time to change those belts ey?)

Initial play around with the recently purchased Carly diagnostics unit......I have the usual airbag light illuminated! Got the fault codes 0093FC B + - line F0093FD B - line looks like the battery cables might have some compromised sheathing or similar somewhere along their length.....

Slow puncture on my rear nearside alloy, had the same alloy refurbished 4 weeks ago and had 2 new rear tyres fitted at the same time so slightly annoyed but thought it was a nail or something. Further investigation shows the alloy has a crack which has been repaired by a previous owner.

Took it back to the place that done the refurb and they apologized for not spotting the old repair but say they can repair it, hopefully they can but may be looking for some smaller alloys as the 313's seem to be prone to cracks

Yep they are / were a classic but so hard to find now as a set of 4 undamaged or that aren't ridiculously priced .
Not unusual to see £400 asks for shabby sets needing refurb & rubber , £650/£850 for decent sets ( genuine )
Asking £450 for mine totally unmarked with quality rubber

Are these still for sale mr wilks?

Did my first window regulator cable repair and found out my boot key lock doesn't work. Fixed the parrot remote and affixed it to the dash. Bought a new bmw rft repair kit and slid that in its place . Got a small coolant leak I need to find now, then stereo replacement and gear knob change and I'm done!
