Re: Best modifications for new Z4 owner
Hi DJW, welcome to the forum. (those are my initials - are they yours too?)
Think the first mod should be a stubby, replace the whippy aerial with a stubby one. Instant mod and looks a lot better!
Hope you're enjoying your new Zed!

After you have all this out the way and you are happy with the car you could take things a bit further to show that you're really serious about modding!
Add a turbo to it. It's never been done.

Maybe what I'm saying is don't take it to far or you end up in the comedy section!

My favourite mods so far are the Gaptech module, retrimmed steering wheel, CDV delete and ZHP gear knob. Stubby looks great too. As a fellow 2.0l-er with no sports button, I fitted a sprint booster. Which has totally transformed the car.

Re: Best modifications for new Z4 owner
Its basically a device you attach to the throttle pedal to increase throttle response. It has 3 selectable modes Off/Normal, Sport (so I'm calling it) and race
Whilst it does absolutely nothing for power or torque, it takes away the slight delay from time you put your foot down to when the car responds. I wasn't expecting it to be so noticeable, but I really am impressed with it.
Took about 5 mins to instal.

Now I'm confused the guy on the video says, you will get faster 0-60 times due to less delay / faster power delivery..... Andnick_l wrote:This will explain it a bit better.
On the sprintboostersales.com website it says will NOT improve 0-60
If all it really does is boost the signal then just giving more right foot to begin with will have the same effect? Am I missing something here.
Can someone with this installed please put this to bed and do a 0-60 comparison. Can't find this anywhere.

I only know what I've read, but its not going to give more power - its just going to give a quicker throttle response, which may get you off the line a fraction quicker.
As nick_l says: Whilst it does absolutely nothing for power or torque, it takes away the slight delay from time you put your foot down to when the car responds. I wasn't expecting it to be so noticeable, but I really am impressed with it.

I have found a very well put together technical review paper online, the conclusion basically states that it improves the feel and that the only gain is the time it takes to max the peddle. It seems like a placebo that nothing more aggressive driving can replicate.
I really want to believe this works!! But evidence seems to the contrary.
