Thank you enzed4! I will try to find the missing bits.enzed4 wrote:Here you go andy, I think this is the complete kit. Towing eye, phillips/flat head screwdriver (reversible), assorted fuses, 13mm/10mm crescent, allan key for manual opening/locking of the soft top, and the wheel puzzle nut.
Not sure if the puzzle nut and allan key are part of the tool kit as such, but it seems to be where people keep them.
Andy.

Re the tool kit, mine is intact but to be fair I cant really see the point of it as in what could you do with it if that doesn't sound like a daft question.
I presume BMW supplied it with certain repairs in mind but which ?

The most useful thing that should be in the tool kit is an alignment tool for the wheels. I hate trying to line the damn wheels up with the holes to get the lug/bolt to screw in. If a Merc SLK comes with one surely BMW could have stretched to one? I'll have to see if I can pick one up from an auto parts shop.
On another note, andy, does your Z4 have the emergency triangle in the blue plastic box (in the boot)?

All these are part of the toolkit. Opened mine for my E87 yesterday for the spanner only yo find towing eye and screwdriver only. That's from the factory as well.enzed4 wrote:Here you go andy, I think this is the complete kit. My tool kit is complete apart from the fuses and locking nut key, but my car doesn't have looking wheel nuts, so there's the reason.

While we're playing spot the accessory, have you had a peek under the seats for the first aid kit in the storage box?

It was an option, so may not have been specced when your car was new. They can be had second hand I believe.andyfanshawe wrote:No! Cant see anything under the seats!! Not even a storage box oh dear. Will have a look tomorrow. Fingers crossed.enzed4 wrote:Andy
