Re-adjusting the off centre adjustment ring that sits between the EPS motor and EPS column.

BMW Z4 Common problems. E85/86

If only I had this thread when I was buying my first Z4 last year. :D Now, after 2 road trips, and 10.000 km, I can just say - oil drinking problem. Well, it is in perfect shape, no leaks, it will hit 200.000 km any moment and the only thing I notice, it will use around 1 litre in 1000 km. I know I will need to take care of this eventually, but at least there is fresh oil in the engine. :)

Hiya! New member here.

To prevent the roof motor from rain damage, how often do you guys clean the drain plugs?

A tutorial can be found here if anyone's keen, heck, one of you might've even created it :)

I see you found the forum, we like introductions and photos of your car on here. You may want to do a fresh post. I cleaned the drain holes when I bought the car and checked them a couple times after that but were fine as my car is garaged and normally never goes out in the rain. Cheers

Has anyone mentioned the windscreen washer fluid reservoir filling up with gunge and blocking the filter? First job I had to do on my Z4 when I picked it up last week. Easy fix.
