Thank you :D
The mileage wouldn't have put me off either , you have to spend to maintain any mileaged car its just the odds go against you on component failure the higher you climb , many times its worth that game of chance as opposed to shelling out £3k more for a 60k car with same spec ?
All depends what kind of miles you plan to throw on it ?

Looking at Autotrader today the market looks a bit more sensible now with most 2006-2007 cars with mileages from 40-100k up for sale between £9-11k. There's far more consistency than there was a few months ago when I bought mine. I paid in line with the above but there were a large number of cars that were overpriced. Interestingly, some of the cars I saw are still up for sale now with some the same price and others reduced by £1k.

i think i got mine at a bargain, great spec, sensible miles & 08 plate for sub 10k, i'm happy with it anyway.

Had my first coupe back in 2010 which was a 56 plate on 91,000 miles in sapphire black with black leather, no spec - i gave £11,000 back then! THey amaze me how they always seem to hover around 8k and above :)

Couple of tidy Z4Cs up for sale on auto trader (local to me) with 40k on the clock sub £10,500 list price aka sub £10k purchase.

Seems a few £k cheaper than other ads I have seen on here...?

Are you allowed to link to them? I cant see any and the only filters I have are sub 70 miles and manual.
I have been looking recently and thinking about going private to avoid having to part exchange my Civic as I am not sure if I can get by with only a Z4C in terms of practicality.

I had previously been looking at trade adverts and am currently tempted by a car thats just a shade under £14k

Hi Taz, I have actually been lurking on the boards for a little while. I had previously only considered buying trade as I had not bought privately before. I am coming round to the idea as it would give me time to see how much use my sensible civic would get (I only use the car once or twice a week).

On a side note I wanted to say that you for your contribution on the 'How rare is this colour' thread. Im really looking for a Monica Blue car but it was eye opening seeing that there are only 85 of them about. Spent the whole week wondering if I should hold out or buy the one I test drove at the weekend (Saphire black with black/white interior).

Your car is stunning Jamie.

I have read through your entire thread, the info about the rust on the rear is good to know (I hope you get that sorted asap). Am I right in thinking that you bought the car very recently? It looks a lot like a car I was in contact with a dealer about at the end of September, it was about due/over due for Inspection two. I couldn't get over to see it before my holiday (I was flying on the Saturday and talking to the dealer Wed/Thu) and didn't want to risk putting a deposit down without seeing the car in person. I was tempted though as it looked amazing in the photos.

If it is the same one I am really chuffed it went to someone who is going to enjoy it!

Thanks for that. They certainly make this one look quite expensive.
