Changing M54 to S54...
Next on "todo list" is,
electrical wiring...
Exhaust with 2 100 cells race cat's
Radiator and oil cooler with hoses
put the diff back in place

This is excellent stuff.
What are the main areas where you are going a different route to the normal installation? I’d be really tempted to try and get the engine mass lower and further back, for example, even if it meant looking at other sump and ancillary options.

Changing M54 to S54...
Hey! almost a year has passed since my last post ..
I encountered problems with the original ECU, after running the engine for about 20min, it did not want to start !!
have tried everything, reprogramming etc etc etc no way. It appears that the theft protection is activated ... for some reason ..
I hate original parts !!!
so after several months of testing, asked several BMW technician ... new original ECU or send it to Germany for reprogramming.. no way..
So I decided to change the ECU .. for something modern and something that I can control myself! and redo all the wires again ..
I decided to go for a MaXXEcu Race from www.maxxecu.com
very happy with it! and super suport!
But the one waiting for something good ...
Last week i got the mapping done! and the resoult?
314 Whp and 326Nm on the wheels

I'm Happy as a kid at christmas !!
