From my experience ones with only 5 lugs never fit tightly enough. I have had some excellent 10 lug ones off ebay

Cheers for that!
Just bought:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/set-of-7-CARB ... 234c172fe4 for the red 320

And

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/set-of-7-CARB ... 234c1fee4d for the blue ///M

They might look naff, might be loose, who knows. But I like!

Have you checked the bonnet and boot badge sizes. Iirc they are an unusual size on the zed.

To be honest, at the moment I've got no plans to change the bonnet and boot badge... or the steering wheel for that matter, mainly bought them for the alloy caps as the others are a little too permanent for my liking. I'll see if they fit then see if I'm brave enough to make a semi-sort-of-permanent change! Especially on the 320 which is a much newer car, I'll seriously hurt my resale chances if I mod that beyond standard. But cheers for the heads up though

As far as I know, the wheel caps just 'clip off', they shouldn't in any way have an impact on the alloys... I've actually never tried taking them out but my research has led me to believe you take the wheel off, and push them off from the inside, poke a rod through the middle into the back of them and they should clip off. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong there though...

Yaha but the OEM ones don't have the carbon effect sorcery
Give me a week, I'll probably need the link for the OEM ones once I've realised these look daft on  haha

I wondered about getting the black carbon effect badges, and then couldn't find anyone doing the one that cover the indicators on the front wings.

Went for blue standard looking ones with 5 lugs only for the wheel centres. Wish I'd bought OEM as they really don't fit very well.

They just push out easily from the back of the wheel.

The 5 lug ones turn round in the middle and one fell out.
I've since got some 10 lug ones and they are nice and sturdy.

I know people say that it should be OEM all the way but...I'm not made of money and mine were really grotty so these fit the bill nicely!

BMW Alloy Wheel centre caps

Replacing the chrome centre caps and wondering which are the genuine article. Both have the same number stamped inside but one of them has the chrome stuck down and the other clipped. Any ideas?

The black ones are genuine. That's what mine look like and I bought them from a dealer.
