So I ordered an armrest from Leatherz on the 19th May, and it finally arrived today (most of the time it was in customs and bank holidays), I have to say it was was worth the wait, it looks like BMW make it and adds some much needed minor storage. It comes with an alcoholic wipe to clean the parts that it sticks to with the 3m tape, it is very easy to fit and just makes cruising so much more comfortable.

No squeaks or rattles as it sits just slightly away from the centre console it sticks to.

I agree with ranski, had mine for a few years and wouldn't be without it, probably the most practical mod I've made to my zed.

Hmmm, Fancied one of these for a while, could well be my next addition.

this is on my wish list

do you have to remove the existing trim from around the gear stick?

If there is enough interest I could try and arrange a group buy, even I can't get a discount from Leatherz I could save on the shipping.

The armrest cost $100.00 (£67.00) shipping was $48.00 (£31.50) UK Taxes were £24.10

So in it cost about £123.00 But if I could combine shipping it would come in nearer £100.00 each.

Have a look at the colours available here

if anyone is interested put your name here.

No there is nothing to remove, you literally just clean the area to be stuck to with the enclosed alcohol swab, let it dry and then stick the armrest onto the centre console, they use 3m tape so it isn't going to come without some force. I would say it is only slightly more difficult to fit than a stubby.

Not sure I could drive with that though, would be in the way of my elbow?

Looks good, does it make pulling the handbrake on difficult as it looks like you need to kink your arm over a bit.

Drshemming, hope your a better orgainser than i am lol, selling the forum stickers as made me go potty

I think the stickers will be a lot more in demand than the armrest, pretty simple really, try and get about 10 people saying they would be interested, email the supplier for a delivered price to me in the UK, work out all costs including paypal fees, get paid and then I post them out from here. (Oh actually it sounds a right PITA) but this forum has been so useful it would be nice to contribute something back.

x2 especially with a ZHP short shift

OK for those lazy auto owners though :poke:
Nope I don't find it gets in the way at all, I've got a Stormwerks V2 and though and not the ZHP, though it did put off trying a shorter knob for ages. It actually makes the cabin a much more comfortable place especially on a long drive the OEM arm rest was useless for me.

can anyone else who is interested add their names to the list, as I won't be able to keep a list of people who just post an interest. :headbang:
