in my previous car, i went through the effort of making it hidden, hardwired, etc. but in the end, you're going to get optimal performance if its dead smack in the middle of the windshield, as high as possible w/o placing it behind the tinted region. i don't even hardwire it anymore b/c the one or two times i did get pulled over (not for speeding, but lack of front license plate and other bs), i quickly remove the radar, clip and everything.

This is how you mount a V1 to a bomber. It might not fit on a Zed.
