what does it actually do? would be an advantage to have on a 2006 3.0si ? my remote already lowers the roof

Lowers only via pressing the key all the time. This unit will allow you to open + close using 3 clicks. Much better and you won't be standing next to your car with the roof half open

OTH only available when you press the button on the console for more then half a second or so
R works remotely from the key (i.e. outside).

So you need both if you want to be able to open/close roof from outside using the key, or if you just want to open the car from inside using One Touch you just need the OTH.

No, if I read it right it uses your normal key... you just press it three times and the roof comes down. The one touch operates the button inside the car.
