mpg for Z4 M 3.2

Post by STONER993 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 6:02 pm

Hi, just wonderd what mpg you are getting as i'm only getting about 17/20 mpg and not driving very hard. I have owned five E46 m3's in the past years and always got a good mpg out of them, so its going to BMW tomorrow .

These mpg figures are interesting I have been thinking about getting a Z4M and am worried I will get fed up with the worse fuel economy. However these figures are not too bad seeing as I get 29mpg with my 2.5 (mind you I don't drive economically :driving: ). I was thinking about a 370Z but seems everyone gets about 17-20mpg mixed driving which i could not stomache.

BMW said no fault found and charged £62 but now the car mpg is better and a flat spot on pulling away has now gone . Quite happy

Mine has a good mix of motoway and short trips and last 2500 miles has averaged 25.7mpg on 99RON fuel and I reckon I would put that as a realistic long term mpg.

Are these real world mpg or from the Dash?

I'm getting sub 25 in a 1.8T TT at the mo. I don't have the lightest foot but struggle to see me getting close to this with another 1.5l capacity.

My figures based on mileage vs amount I fill up with quite closely matches the OBC figures.

For example I can put 50 litres in to brim it and then get 300 miles before brimming it with another 50 litres - which in my calculation means 300 miles on 11 gallons, or about 27mpg.

I think the least I've ever gotten out of a tank (although it still showed 25 miles to empty) was 180 miles, and the most was 340 (with 20 miles to empty).

I'm getting about 29 .... real mix of town, cruise and Warp speed !!!

Using mine for work so knock up 700 miles in 1 week (busy week) but looking at 20,000 in a year and love it too bit's !!!!

Crappy L200's don't do much more than 30mpg.
