Wiper blade sizes

Post by Fox889 » Mon May 23, 2022 9:33 pm

Everywhere I look I see 21” & 20” wiper blades as the correct size blades, yet measuring mine, I have 24” drivers side & 21” passenger side. Either someone has increased the length of blade(s) for whatever reason on both sides or I’ve been looking at the wrong websites. 2004 3.0 seems pretty standard right across the board.
Thoughts & help very much appreciated.

My E86 takes a 21" driver side and 20" passenger side so it looks like your car has the wrong sizes fitted!

You're lucky they haven't got tangled like the incorrect length blades did on my E46. :(
Coupes because stunning!

Always seem fine, never been a problem.
Perhaps I should try 21's & 20's?

If they work OK I'd carry on using them until they didn't!

But I'd definitely get the right sizes when they needed replacing.

21/20 for me I think...although I preferred a 19" passenger side (AP19U) to stop the 'tail wagging' on overhang.

These are the 'aerotwin' ones I have (AR21U + AR20U).

I find 20 / 18 to be a good fit on my E85

Bosch AR21U & AR20U purchased & fitted, pretty obvious the previous owner has put a larger one on the drivers side, not sure why but they’ve been changed.
Looking at the set up now, I could easily have got away with a 19” or even an 18” on the passenger side, but these will be fine.
