Facelift headlight adjustor replacement

Post by philipw » Sat Sep 25, 2021 5:17 pm

In case any of you run into the same issue as me where the adjustor cogs for the headlight end up falling off and getting lost. There is an option to obtain replacements cogs as the adjustor set-up is the same as the facelift E39.

This Ebay seller is selling the cogs as part of a kit. Installed today and it works again, which is a relief!

Excellent find, I had an arm break but was lucky to find a member here who sent me one.

Facelift headlight adjustor replacement

Post by philipw » Sun Sep 26, 2021 12:03 am

Glad to hear it, a replacement light needs to be avoided!

Mine fell off due to incorrectly adjusting it too far, causing the cable to retreat into the housing and the adjustor fall off to be lost forever! Arm was removed from the headlight by undoing the screw highlighted and winding the cable out to allow the cog to be bashed on. All good now:)
