Removing light switch control panel

Post by portculisz4 » Mon Sep 20, 2021 5:56 pm

I need to remove the mini panel that has the rotary light switch and thumb wheel controls on it, can anyone give me advice on the procedure, I am afraid to force it from the front and cause damage to the panel and surrounding facia.

Hi Portculisz4,
I found this to be a useful thread when I had to remove my LCM a couple of weeks ago:

You may find it helpful to remove the corner air vent as well. Two screws, one of which is under a small round cover which needs to be prised off.
Here's a link to my thread as well as it contains some useful advice given to me regarding the trim piece removal:

Good luck,
Robert.

Removing light switch control panel

Robert, many thanks for the helpful links, I didn't realise the panel was so complex. I have problem where the beam angle control for the offside headlamp unit is not working and thought it might be just a bad connection at this panel. I guess removal will clarify the situation.

I've been following your thread on the beam issue so I thought this might well be related.
