What's the catch?
Apart from the fact it's not an SI?

Only 70 miles from me and tempted.
Anyone know anything about this car, or can see the glaring issue that I'm obviously missing at this price?

He has no feedback as a seller, and he has another ad for a BMW motorbike at spookily exactly the same price - and the style of the two ads is very different. It could all be kosher, but personally I'd be cautious.

May just be the photos, but the passenger side door and rear panel look suspect. Gaps and panels not lined up.

Last MOT it was at just under 125k miles, says 7 months MOT left yet i runs out in November. Pics are garbage, ad is garbage. Maybe banking on getting a quick sale due to price, might be a good buy for someone to part it if they have the space/time.

Indeed, thats why I said it might be a good vehicle to part for profit if people have the time/space. The advert and the attitude stinks, but so does that of a lot of people, the car still might be worth it if someone close is willing.
If I lived near I'd maybe take a punt if it looked ok, you're right to definately ring the alarm bells though

Yes, but you'd turn up and as soon as you bent down to check a tyre or something he'd be getting arsey.Optinium wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 4:58 pmIndeed, thats why I said it might be a good vehicle to part for profit if people have the time/space. Haha yeah you're right, but it could be equally said that life is too short to pass up such opportunities xD If he'd wanna be arsey about tyres I'd be saying I wanna make sure I can make it home with them

That reply tells you all you need to know.
He's never sold anything in his three years as an ebay member, then suddenly he's selling two vehicles at exactly the same "bargain" price - so it looks like a compromised ebay account to me.
It's a pretty good bet that there is no car (or bike) for sale - it's a hook to get interest, then I reckon he'll be asking for money in advance to secure viewing slots, or arranging to meet somewhere dodgy and mugging the unsuspecting viewer.
Definitely one to avoid!

What's the catch?
The car had its first MOT when only a maximum of two years old. Odd.
The MOT history doesn't point to a well looked after car in general.
In his bike advert he says he takes debit and credit cards, maybe related to a different business but strange for a private seller. He is also offering nationwide delivery on the bike, again strange for a private seller.
What's that saying again? "if it looks too good to be true it always, always is"

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

It got taken down so maybe the flood of forum questions made him think again.
What an obnoxious knob!
