Sound generator foam…

Post by inkey$ » Wed Sep 08, 2021 2:56 pm

…is going back in. Took it out (the longer part as the smaller one was already missing) and the drone was phenomenal in the coupe. Don’t remember it being that bad in a roadster so must be to do with the tintop and resonance.

Horrific. It just made the car sound as though it had a chest infection

I run all of the big foam and about 40% of the thinner foam. Perfect balance!

Sound generator foam…

I ran no foam on both ends for a few years but recently I found the old foam pieces in my garage, so out of curiosity I put them back and oh man it's so nice. It never did sound "bad" but I love this quieter cabin now.
