Time for Some TLC

Post by JackZ4 » Fri Jul 30, 2021 8:43 pm

Hi All,

I don't normally post on the forums, I tend to sit back, read the topics, and take notes of all the wonderful advice you have shared over the years.

After 7 years of ownership and using the Zed on a daily basis for work purposes. I've always kept the car mechanically sound, but never truly given the bodywork/exterior the care and attention its really needed.

I am planning to get the front bumper resprayed (dull/stone chipped), roof resprayed (keyed and too deep to machine out), 3 stage paint correction (swirls built up) and the headlights buffed. Ballpark wise, how much would you estimate this would all cost?

Alloys have just been diamond cut at The Wheel Specialist in Nottingham, who have done an amazing job :D

Planning to use Royal Steering Wheels after they return from holiday as mine look a little tired, and I have booked it in for the seats to be re-upholstery due to wear and tear (my fat arse).

Thanks in advance,
Jack

I am sure you will feel good and get a lot of satisfaction out of bringing the car back to better bodily condition. I always felt better when I did something which brought about improvement.. Somehow the Z seemed to drive better.

Thanks man and it definitely will, will be a shame to use it afterwards to be honest... The cheapest thing to do is emblem changes which I didn't list as its nothing major, but you don't realise how much of an impact this has on the overall look, and it's so simple to do 8)
