Thinking of selling, advice

Post by Cornwall1888 » Tue Jul 27, 2021 11:10 am

I think it’s time to move on from the Z4 I need a more practical car.

Could potentially be going to look at a car tomorrow, I’ve been offered about £3000 trade in but think I could get about £1500 more selling privately.

How is the market at the moment are people treating themselves to fun cars because they can’t go abroad or are people worried about money? In my experience people are treating themselves.

Do you really get more money if you sell during summer?

I’ve got a silver 3.0i manual with 80,000 on the clock, good condition, full service history, new rear tyres, leather, mot until next March. Biggest fault is the wheels need a respray.

Do people have much luck selling on here?

Any advice welcome.

Lots of successful sales happen on here.

I reckon you could get £4500-5000 for that right now. Put it on at £5k and see what replies you get.

id give you £3,000 for that without even seeing it, and even though i dont need one!

but yeah, a nice 3 litre with low miles should sell no problem, especially in summer.

I was told that June/July was the best time to sell a convertible, by August there’s less time to enjoy it and so prices then start to decline, put an advert on here it’ll only cost you your time

As above for price, there’s a few people looking for 3-litres at the moment.

It may not be worth you refurbing the wheels as they won’t be to everyone’s taste and you may not get back your refurb costs.

P.s. i’ll join the queue to take it for £3,000 :)

Fire an advert up clearly stating wheels need a refurb and this is accounted for in the ask and it’ll not be there for long.
