....got it all neatly packaged up ready to send to Royal Steering Wheels....checked the website for the delivery address and saw a message saying no more wheels before August 10th due to holidays  Well as the old Haynes manuals use to say - refitting is the reversal of removal

It will be the same but with black stitching

I had Royal do a previous car and they did it absolutely spot on.

Definitely one of best mods, the Z4 steering wheel is just a little thin for my liking :(

Thin?! I literally thought it was fat as hell compared to other BMWs, even M cars. The thicker it goes the less feedback you have... (then again its electric anyway but still every little helps)

you must mean the msport wheel. I too think it's way too thick (like a lot of BMW sport steering wheels). I much prefer the sports steering wheels in my 911s. I asked jack to just add a little more thickness. 1mm rather than his usual 2mm.

My wheel is thinner than my Mondeo one! I'm having it done like the pic above

Sorry I was talking about the M sport wheel that I have, didn't realise it was much thicker than the standard item. The one you posted in that pic looks perfect imo, Jack can thin them out too right?

I don't think he can thin them out as he usually just puts the new leather over the old. by default he makes them "double thickness" so you have the explicitly mention that you don't want the wheel too thick.

That's bad timing "pilch"!

But Royals do seem to do a great job so the wait should be worth it.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the M-Sport wheels thicker than I'd like.
Coupes because stunning!

Gone - Ruby Black

All depends whether you're used to having something that thick in your hand.
