Folks
Newbie question but noticed in the boot these springs either side that look like part of the hinge mechanism. Should the loop in the spring be over the peg that sticks out the the hinge part. If they should be over the peg, what’s the easiest way to put them back, a bit of brute force?
My boot lid lifts ok but this looked odd to me, it’s the same both sides

I don't think the loop is supposed to be over the peg - mine aren't. As you close the boot you can see the peg press on the spring which must help to pop the boot open off the latch.
