Bluetooth: fixed!

Post by bigwinn » Mon May 10, 2021 8:54 pm

Hi all

I posted a while back as I was getting nothing out of Bluetooth pairing in my zed

I read a write up where a member had traced a wiring break in the hinge area of the storage compartment, with nowt else to do tonight I thought let’s have a look

I felt down the protective casing and sure enough could deffo feel something that didn’t feel right- so investigated.

I found this- solved and case closed right?

Nope. Poor state but no wiring breaks. So taped that up and protected it.

Went digging in the actual cradle area and noticed the multi wired cable was looser than expected

Popped the cradle open to find:

Popped it in, secured it from coming out again…

Well done. It was me that had the fractured wiring by the hinge - BMW couldn't find it so I had to do their job for them

This is a good one to add to the list.
