I vinyl wrapped my scratched silver door pull trims.
As I took about 3 or 4 attempts to get it looking good, I thought I'd share how I finally did it.
1. Remove door pull trim. Dead easy. Prise out a little at the bottom , then slide downwards.
2. Clean the trim with rubbing alcohol (aka iso-propanol or iso propyl alcohol or iso-propan-2-ol)
3. Cut the plastic carbon wrap and WARM it - this is the bit I neglected at first. Warming it really helps with the process. I used an aga lid, but I guess a hairdryer would do.

4. Stick it to the trim and cut so that there is about 1/4" excess all round.

5. Cut slits with scissors about every 1/2", and closer on the corners.

6. Fold over the edges, using heat, then use a soldering iron on low heat (on the back face only) to really stick and heat-shrink the edges down

7. Reattach and admire.
