Cheaper from BMCables ion ebay here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-DIAGNOST ... SweURc5xFk

Also consider BMW Scanner 1.4 for use on a laptop, it is far less involved to load and get working than the INPA package, I have both and tend to use BMW Scanner 1.4 the most as its so simple to operate.

Shwmae colb .
As a newbie to BMW, does the BMW scanner 1.4 allow adaptation and programming e.g. setting the roof to close remotely with the keyfob ?

Also, would the BMC cable bundle work on a 2007 E85 (the ad says it only works up to 2006) ?

BMW Scanner 1.4 will reset adaptions and limited coding don't think it will do the the roof but will read the roof module for codes and clear them. Not explored all its capabilities but like to use it as it reads all the modules fitted to the car.
As far as I know the BMCables Package should work on a 2007 you will have a selection of BMW models in Inpa to choose the one you want includes the Mini range and Rolls Royce. No doubt someone will be along who knows for sure.

Thanks very much colb for the tip on the BCables.

I bought the kit and have been adapting and scanning my car like mad with NCS Expert and INPA. It has given me hours of fun and saved hundreds in not having to get a garage to do this stuff for me.

As a tip, if anyone else buys this kit, it will set up all the necessary software for you, except it is missing NCS Dummy, which you really need to use NCS Expert safely. However, NCS Dummy can easily be downloaded from t'internet.
