Couldn't agree more, they are great value, and in my opinion M's even more so but it really depends on usage and what you want out of it.Zedebee wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 11:22 amThere’s undoubtedly a bit of speculative value in Z4s at the moment (here I include anything 3.0Si and M, including roadsters) and values will go up and down for sure. But there’s no real depreciation, so the main cost of car ownership doesn’t exist, hence these cars are great value. If values do drop away, at least you'll have a great car to keep you entertained, unlike Bitcoin where you’ll have sweet FA.
Buying on perceived future values or as an investment though in the current climate, you'd have to be mad. The lack of depreciation as you say is a bonus but yeah, these should be brought driven and enjoyed unless you have a exceptionally low mileage showroom condition example.
The Bitcoin comment was purely tongue in cheek and just to highlight there are far better investments if that's your game. Does amuse me the amount of people clamouring to get a slice of Bitcoin though who have no idea what it is or the risks, which probably accounts for a lot of people buying in right now. Elon's a clever chap.
