Car mats?

Post by inkey$ » Sat Nov 21, 2020 1:28 pm

Looking for a decent set of plain, black car mats - that don’t slip around (critical) - for my manual E86.
OEM look great but the price doesn't.
Any recommendations?

Car mats?

I bought a set off ebay a while back that seem to be ok (sorry, no link). As for slipping around, I bought floor mat clips and stuck them on and they work a treat.

Thanks Big Andra. They look pretty good. Might have to trawl eBay and see what’s on offer. BMW quoted me £64 plus delivery.

I bought some for my 3 Series on Amazon, but as there are only 2 in a Z4 I'd bit the bullet and buy OE.

Just a thought but have you tried Cotswold BMW or Sopers of Lincoln? Both offer a forum discount so may be a bit cheaper.
Coupes because stunning!

Go ebay.de. lospfurros makes a cracking mat set for about 60 euro. Highly recommended

These were they guys that quoted me £64. Might try eBay first then go oem if they’re awful.

Won’t get much better quality for £60. That’s good for genuine .

That's a very good price for OEM mats. At least they won't have the unsightly/cheap looking 'heel pad'.

These items have a nice long cut pile, with edges superbly leather bound, M colour stitching, choice of the clips or velcro fixings. Hard to beat imo

Decided to try these from eBay. Just £11.99 delivered and arrived in a few days.

They fit perfectly, don't move around and seem to be pretty good quality too.

It seems a shame to put black mats in that interior; you should be able to get colour matched ones.

For me, colour matched mats would defeat the object of not seeing a mucky interior. Plus the black in the foot wells helps balance the wash of interior beige.
