Yes thats the ticket, iirc there is a small clip to hold them on but it should just pop off

The original tips can be a right bu**er to get off, there’s not much to hold on to. You just have to pull really hard. They’re easy enough to put back on (as you say, with a rubber mallet) and I wouldn’t expect the MM tips to be any different.

Looking forward to seeing a fitted pic.

E86 Coupe Progress Thread: US spec orange reflectors

Post by inkey$ » Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:06 pm

Thanks to Zebedee for helping me decide and helping me spend money

Swapped the white front wing reflectors today to US spec orange ones (ordered from the US). Think they work much better with the Monaco Blue paintwork and bronze wheels.

Definitely. I’ll be swapping my clear side indicators for ambers on the weekend if they arrive in time. I’d do the orange hockey sticks as well, but I don’t think there’s a bi-xenon version.

I’m on the lookout for orange side indicators too - so if anyone is reading this and wants to swap for a set of clears, PM me

The orange reflectors are a bit improvement - I never liked the clear ones.

Although it's a shame they fitted any to non-US cars!

Timmyboybunter and Stuartt said they may have some. Oldgitdave doesn’t any more.

Your car is looking very nice.

Yes, I think it works pretty well. Now I look at the clear ones and they seem a bit fussy,

Not a lot of progress beyond my quest to ‘Amberfy’ the coupe, but I did take her out for a quick blast yesterday and every time I go to drive this thing I forget how much fun it is :driving:

You need to. You know you want to. I haven’t had a chance for a nice photo shoot yet, but here’s one with the ambers on.

Dental floss, GT85 on residue, loyalty card scraper and final polish up. You can still see a very slight outline but they will go after some dedicated detailing time.

Side 3.0 si badges next to go

Just did this on my Monaco blue Roadster, much cleaner without, now I need to take off the 2.0i badges  they will never know!
