LOL on the greyhound comment. Ever followed a 911 when it pulls away briskly? Now that’s a car having a $h1t if ever there was one...

But E86 does look damn fine in my book though....

If I wanted a hard top I wouldn’t buy a Z4 coupe because I think they look quite frankly, crap, far too bulky on the arse end.
 from the guy that just bought his 4th E89 :P keep taking those tablets John :P
How does an E89 look anything like a E86 coupe...?? Are you still pissed this morning..? :drinking:

Can you drop the roof on a E86....?? Which is why I buy drop tops....??

Lame Andy....bottom of the barrel lame.....I expected better than that......you’ve run out of arguments.... :poke:
You singled out the rear of a Zc as "far too bulky on the arse " yet you clearly like that in a car as the E89 has anything but a svelte rear .
Its just opinion John , we are all entitled to one it just so happens i'm right your wrong :P just google " Bmw Z4 coupe reviews " & read a few , they can't all be wrong & i'm yet to read one that would describe the rear as " far too bulky on the arse end "

(Sigh) When did I say the E89 hasn’t got a bulky rear....? It has, clearly, but nothing remotely as bad as an E86, plus it has a flat-ish boot to cancel the squatting dog look to some extent, plus its a drop top that just so happens to have a metal roof instead of canvas which makes it a better car.... :P

I’d rather s**t in my hat and punch it than toss my day off scrolling through endless google reviews, and especially reviews about fat arse E86’s.... .....reviews are like opinions and arseholes....fact is I’m right and you’re wrong. :poke: :topicclosed:

Nope not at all , had the C4 997 from last May to January 2020 don't forget so roofdown motoring has been a while for me & not missing it at all , not sure if other ZC owners have made this discovery yet but windows down at full chatt across country its hard to believe you have a roof as the wind buffet through cabin is totally reminiscent of my E85s :P
My weekend cars pre Z were coupes ( 964 , 996 , 645ci , Brera ) then arrived here with a Si ZC , deviated along the way into E85s + E89s but see no return to verts anytime soon , 981 Cayman or M4 (coupe) the only 2 possibles id consider right now

I get the buffeting thing....I dropped all 4 windows on the E89 coming back from Devon on the A30 the other day, was pissing down when we left so had the roof up but dry and bright once towards Exeter. It was ok tbh, but honestly I wanted to pull in and drop the roof down fully...windows down but roof up was like being in the M in town in rush hour....mind bendingly frustrating... I’d have an M2 no question if I could cope with a roof.....but I can’t....so I haven’t... :D

The rear of a Z coupe is something that E85 owners can only dream over

Understandable the M2 isn't available as a convertible , i mean , why would Bmw engineers want to ruin a ///M car by taking the roof off  ohh , hang on a minute  :P :D

I'm struggling to think of any car available as a coupe or softop, where the coupe doesn't look better quite honestly.... removing the top just removes so much design interest from any car - all you're left with is a skip with a windscreen....
Now Gone - 2008 Coupe, Montego Blue, Champagne leather and Piano Black interior, Eibachs & Koni Sport shocks, Style 230 19s, Eisenmann Quad - approaching perfection...
