I have the Stormwerks one and bought it with the Handbrake cover in Titanium and it's brilliant. Highly recommended http://www.storm-motorwerks.com/interio ... _knobs_v1/

Most folk go for a ZHP knob but the possibilities are almost endless. Another popular one is a solid aluminum knob to add weight to the shifter. eBay and Google are your friend.

Hi Ian,

The only issue with the Stormwerks one is it will be freezing cold in the winter and could get very hot in the summer!

I've had the ZHP one in all of my Z4s and really like it as it's a bit shorter and heavier than the standard knob.

Here's a link to a photo:- https://www.bimmerworld.com/BMW-Interio ... 6-031.html

But I wouldn't buy it there although that looks like the correct part number. It should be more like £50 from Cotswold BMW or Sopers of Lincoln who both give a forum discount.
Coupes because stunning!

Another one, and one I almost bought was one from the raceseng range. Low, heavy and plenty of shape and colour combinations. Not exactly cheap, but they sure look beautiful.

I fell through the looking glass there! So many pretty thinks!!! Couldn't figure out the gate pattern for a 5 speed though! Maybe I'm getting too old! Maybe it's just getting late...
Thanks,

I said they were expensive..... But they're pretty much 'hand made' (by CNC)....
Also, if you dwell on the site, they give you a 10% discount. And, if enough of us put an order in, the postage would be less and we may get a group buy discount?

Just be careful pulling the old gear knob off. I was told you have to get over the stick and pull up as hard as possible (I also have a coupe not a soft top), the resulting nosebleed was most unwelcome.

It could be worse - someone on here cracked his windscreen pulling his knob off!
