Thanks Ian, I wonder if this has made it any easier for QUIKSTER to make the decision!

I went with Andrew Muirhead leather for my E85 - if it's good enough for Rolls Royce and the like, then it's good enough for me!

Have received some samples form Ukhide.

The first one on the left is Caramel followed by various Saddle brown shades.

I thinking of shade next to the Caramel.

Bottom photo, second one from the left. The two to the right are a bit ‘pink’ almost.

This thread is worth a read on M3cutters...

Someone used the Furniture Clinic kit to dye his interior cinnamon.

Really, really easy on a Z, takes around 5-8 hours to do and costs £200.

I'm also steering to the 2nd on the left on the bottom image.
Personally I'd lay them on the silver grey paintwork and upload a new image, so we can see the contrast.

That's an amazing difference, the interior looks so more exclusive!!!
I definitely think that's worth a try. At £200, it a massive saving of £1250!

Didn’t expect results like that. The cinnamon leather looks great.

It really is a great kit, arguably better than the factory finish as you can put more of the finishing layers on it.

Nice thing with the Z's is you can do the seats and each door card in a day easily.

Plus they will put a kit together for you with a compressor, decent spray gun, enough leather prep, dye, sealant and matt finisher for around £200.

The compressor is better than the air cans, which can start to spit if they get too cold, which they do after a few minutes.
I kept putting them in a bucket of hot water between sprays as I was drying that coat with a hair dryer.

Previous owner had gone down the dye route, but has started to peel away and the leather has wrinkled excessively, so think completer retrim is the best option long term option.

A heat gun, or even better a steamer, will pull the wrinkles out.

But up to you mate.

Easier to get someone else to retrim it for you I guess, but results with furniture clinic will be like new.

Please, do NOT use a steamer on leather - you'll absolutely destroy it!!

No you won't.

It will pull stretched baggy leather nice and tight again.

I have used a steamer on loads of knackered baggy seats over the years and it works wonderfully. It shrinks the fibres in the leather, which is exactly what you want it to do.

Just don't over do it, take it a little bit at a time, and use a clothes steamer not a steam cleaner! ;)
