I think the auto is just fine and in sports mode is a dream to drive
This newbie has been driving a Manuel 3.0 for 4 years. I've had two z4 3.0i 6 speeds. I've refreshed the vanos. Fitted new upgraded disa valve. Changed a cracked subframe. Any many other mods and jobs. This newbie probably has more experience of an e85 than you.
Whoa! whoa! Wait a minute! I'll fetch my handbag!

This newbie should maybe have started with an introduction so we all knew a bit about him, before he waded straight in with forthright opinions, dispensed as if by some kind of condescending god!

1. Is it worth getting a 2.5 over a 3.0?. No
2. Is an auto more sedate to drive than the Manuel?. Yes

Am I wrong? Was I giving him false advise? No

Your jumping on me because I try to steer a potential new z owner in the right direction, what's wrong with you people?

You!
For what exactly? For giving someone correct advice and then being set upon called a newbie and a troll.

Please explain? Was I wrong in what I said? Is the auto z4 a more sedate drive? Is it worth getting a 2.5 over a 3.0?

I'm sure most of the 3.0 Manuel owners in here agree with me. But stay quite as to not risk offending people like you and the other child that started with me.

There was no intention to offend or upset you, it’s not in my nature, if I have I apologise, now how about a proper introduction and some pics of your Zed ?

Steve

Exactly my point!
Appear out of nowhere and make a bold statement based on personal opinion only, without anyone knowing who this person is, where they've appeared from or what their history is.
Then when picked up on this, come back with a reply stating they know more about E85s than others on here.
And you wonder why you got a bite???

brian_Badonde wrote: Sat Jun 27, 2020 8:09 pm Would never have an auto zed. Don't suit these cars at all. All it will do is drink more fuel and be sedate to drive. Hold out for a 3.0i Manual you wont regret it.

You didn't mention the 2.5, you just slated the auto Z4, which is not sedate especially with the sports button pressed :P , introduce yourself and you will get a better response.
As for who has the biggest willy, I don't give a fook and am pleased that you are a font of knowledge on the Z4. We have had a few cocks join just lately, who were wind up merchants, your first appeared to be another one of these.
