Hi,

I’d said hello in the newbie section a few days ago but as I have now got myself a Z4 I will now have loads of questions - most of which I’ll find by searching

One question i have, the bolster on the drivers side is well worn and the foam has deformed and lost its shape. So I am wondering if i can get a passenger seat (as this will have less wear) and use the parts to replace my worn seat? The seats are electric and heated.

Oh, and I know I need to get some pics up

Cheers Matt

You can buy the seat foam new from BMW still, I believe. It'll just be the foam though, so you'd need to transfer over your electrics and upholstery.

The seats aren't handed so a passenger foam will fit a driver's side frame and cover without any issues.

Thanks for that. I guessed so.

I’ve asked my local dealer if they still can still get them, or I’ll get one from eBay

Or just take it to an upholstery shop and see what they would want to charge. These guys are REALLY talented and can do incredible work, usually for reasonable cost (compared to ordering OEM bits).
