Roof detracts when ignition turned off

Post by Fergy199 » Thu Feb 13, 2020 3:09 pm

Weird things started today with the roof. When I unlocked the car roof went back and Windows opened.
Roof closed fine. When I stopped and as I removed the key it went back again.I had to try about 10 times to finally secure the roof. Any ideas of suggestions would be appreciated.

I can’t help with the fault - I’m sure others will help there but don’t forget you may need to charge the battery now

Strange, could it be that the button on your key is sticking in the unlock position, it can be set to open the roof if you keep the unlock button depressed likewise the windows will drop and hood close if you keep the lock button pressed when you exit the car. Thats if the car has been coded to do all this.

Gaptech
Button stuck on the key
Bad battery

Get the battery checked first then check the codes to see if it's throwing up any errors.

I had something similar with mine. Turned out to be my gaptec module.

Thanks everyone for your assistance.
Problem is with the key, as when I tried the spare key everything was working correctly.
