If you have sat nav on your smartphone, there's a very reasonable Pioneer that links very well with apps and has a dedicated and removable holder for the phone. Looks OK but no DAB though...
Pioneer SPH-10BT, around £90 I think.

you can get something like this on ebay, less than £70
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7inch-1-Din- ... 4173310200
but the sat nav maps need to be on a mem card and in the unit to work, most will mirror a ios / android phone thou so use google maps

No problem, I'm happy to answer
It was as easy as any head unit to fit. I also added a module for the MFSW buttons.
As for the air vents, one thing I checked out before I bought is that it will continue to function with the screen folded away, so although the screen does get in the way of the centre vents a bit, you can fold it away (open/close button, second from right) while the cabin is warming up and your music/Nav/podcast will continue to play. In practice I don't need to do that very often at all, but it is still important to me to have the option.
This is everything that went in, looks a lot but only fits together one way, and there is plenty of room.

How much did this setup cost you in the end?

Was £457.43 for all the stuff in the picture plus a DAB aerial. The head unit was discounted to £399.99 on eBay from Dynamic Sounds because the box had been opened.bearded_ed wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 2:45 pm How much did this setup cost you in the end?
