I'm in Tring with the same problem! Any idea on the approximate cost to:
Relocate and either a) resurrect or b) replace the motor? Does the roof need to come off, or can it be done through the boot?
Mine has the classic symptoms of front latch working, but no sound or movement from the hydraulic motor. It's been fixed twice before for the previous owner. Once in 2014 and again by BMW with a new pump in 2016 >£1K!! - Are their repairs warrantied?

Hello Bowser 134 I'm based in Northants and my roof has the same problem as Tommi61. Where are you based and how quickly can you repair mine?

Roof motor
bowser has just done mine and I am delighted to have my Z4 working as it should. He gave a time and place and we popped down the road for a cuppa (I am an OAP and tea is life blood ) and had just finished when a text arrived to say it was done!!! The non working motor was now working perfectly and is now behind a neat matching panel in the boot so will never get wet again. After watching several YouTube videos mostly of yanks talking slowly about how they unbolted their roof and struggled to get the motor out and replacing it with a Mustang one amongst others and generally making a meal out of it I could believe how fast bowser fixed the fault.
Thank you bowser
Thank you bowser
